“It’s not my fault if you can’t handle it! What about my needs?”
“Your needs consist of nothing but your social circle, your reputation and your hair. What about your family huh?” “How dare you!”The young girl turned away from the silhouettes in the large window frame. They were at it again. They were at it all the time. Everyday, every night, every second they were together. It was becoming a daily ritual now. She wondered if either of them actually took any notice of what they were doing any more, because she sure did.
It was hopeless now; she knew where this was heading. She also knew they did too. She just didn’t know when. It was bound to happen some time or later God knew how long it had been going on. Technically, going by the numbers of time, it hadn’t been too long. But by the period of her mind, it seemed a long, long time. And she knew if any action was not taken any time soon, she’d would be stuck in it. It was going to become eternal. “I can’t take this anymore, I want out. I want to end it all.” “What? You cannot do that! What will I tell-” “The women at the club? Oh what a disappointment that would be. What a tragedy, how embarrassing for you, the perfect family is gone. Whatever will you tell them?” “Shut up, shut up! I can’t believe you’re doing this to me! How dare you, you asshole! You fucking bastard!!” The young girl let out a sigh. Yep, it was nothing new. With a final glance at the dimly lit room, she turned and trudged further into the bush until she came to the small stream. It was hers, and only hers. Nobody ever came here, only her, and only her whenever things went wrong. She sighed again, laying her skinny, fragile body down on the dry pile of leaves beside the trickling water. She turned her gaze to the dark night sky. She smiled a smile of sadness as a flash of light glittered across her view.
